Johanna's Story

Johanna graduated from Central Saint Martins in London with both undergraduate and masters degrees in 1997. Her graduation show was highlighted by the then London Times fashion editor Iain R. Webb as one of the top new talents of the year.
“top new talents
of the year”
Soon after graduation, Johanna launched her own label. Her first ready-to wear collection was shown at London Fashion Week and subsequently bought by Barneys NY, Browns in London and Via Bus Stop in Japan. Johanna’s ready-to-wear line continues to be well-received internationally and was stocked in leading select shops and department stores in the United States, UK, France, Dubai, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. During the period between 2005 to 2009, Johanna focused primarily on the Japan market where she had over 10 shops.
“rock n’roll but sweet, modern with vintage, edgy yet classic”
Following the birth of Johanna’s second child in early 2009, the label is taking a brief hiatus from Japan and is utilizing the opportunity to regroup and return to Johanna’s design and stylistic essence – a fusion of opposing elements – rock n’roll but sweet, modern with vintage, edgy yet classic, cool and romantic in a tightly-edited and desirable collection.
